hotspot vm crashes when Perm Space filled up

      Description

      Here is how to reproduce the bug.

      1. make a directory
      2. unzip the attached zipfile in the new directory, there will be more than 500 files.
      3. run java -server -cp . -Xbatch -Xcomp -XX:MaxPermSize=4M Test, I am using 1.4.0fcs, but it happens in Hopper as well.

      you will see:
