      Description

      Name: jl125535 Date: 07/23/2004

A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :

SimpleDateFormat does not support parsing strings such as:

        "Saturday, 1st of March"

As there is no format character to denote the "st", "nd", "rd", or "th" suffix that may be applied to a day of month.

      JUSTIFICATION :

This is a common way of writing dates.
