Swing applications paint grey rectangles before actual content gets painted

        Description

        Start a Swing application and move a dialog above it. See how Java first paints the exposed areas grey and then later the actual content. The result is a flicker effect that makes Swing applications appear slower than they actually are. The effect is also very well visible when restoring a previously minimized application.
