Appletviewer close/quit with exceptions

      Description

      Linux, Cinnabar32, JDK1.5.0_01 b08.

      Start AppletViewer from command line, click the menu Applet->Close, the appletviewer closed with the following exceptions thrown out:

      Exception in thread "Thread-3" java.lang.IllegalThreadStateException
              at java.lang.ThreadGroup.add(ThreadGroup.java:856)
              at java.lang.Thread.start(Thread.java:573)
              at java.lang.Shutdown.runHooks(Shutdown.java:128)
              at java.lang.Shutdown.sequence(Shutdown.java:173)
              at java.lang.Shutdown.exit(Shutdown.java:218)
              at java.lang.Runtime.exit(Runtime.java:90)
              at java.lang.System.exit(System.java:868)
              at sun.applet.AppletViewer.appletSystemExit(AppletViewer.java:836)
              at sun.applet.AppletViewer.access$400(AppletViewer.java:101)
              at sun.applet.AppletViewer$3.run(AppletViewer.java:824)
              at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)

      The Applet->Quit comes to the same result.

      This is not reproducible on Solaris platform. This is also not reproducible with J2sdk1.4.2_06 on Linux.
