        Description

Set the cursor blink rate to something fast, or turn it off completely, on the GNOME Desktop. Specifically do this with the Java Desktop System Release 3 via: Launch->Preferences->Desktop Preferencs->Keyboard->Behavior and then in the Keyboard Tabbed section uncheck "Cursor blinks in text boxes and fields" or simply move the slider to the far right edge. You may need to log out and back in (you don't on JDS 3 Linux, but I haven't tested on Solaris).

Now launch SwingSet2, choose the GTK+ L&F, and click in an editable text field. Note that the caret blink rate here isn't respecting the desktop setting.

This information is available to us - see GTKLookAndFeel.handleParsedData(). The settings are "gtk-cursor-blink" and "gtk-cursor-blink-time". If we wanted to hook them up we probably could.

The criteria for 3rd deferral bulk request bugs:
          - Not P2
          - Not tck-red labeled
          - Not regression labeled
          - Not findbugs, parfait, eht, fuzzing labeled
          --------------------------------------------------------------------
We reviewed these today. We're OK with deferring them. I assume these are for deferral to JDK 9.

Please update these so the label says 8-defer-approved and then set FixVersion to 9.

          Thanks!

          Kind regards,
          Mathias

GTK LnF never took care about native GTK cursor blink settings. Let's add this functionality.
