        Description

One of the JCK licensee complains that from time to time, one of the distributed CORBA tests in the JCK 1.5a fails. In addition, the remote agent used for passing the distributed tests runs into a deadlock. Further passing the tests is blocked because the test system interrupts them by timeout.

The failure reproduces under JDK 1.5 on Windows and Solaris platform if the following tests run in the loop (repeated from 3 to 10 times) and connected to the SameJVM RemoteAgent:

        api/org_omg/PortableInterceptor/ClientRequestInterceptor/index.html#distributed
        api/org_omg/PortableInterceptor/ServerRequestInterceptor/index.html#distributed

The licensee said that the problem is not in the tests but in CORBA RI (see details in the 6339390). The deadlock occurs in the *api/org_omg/PortableInterceptor/ClientRequestInterceptor/index.html#distributed* which is subject of JCK test exclusion. We tend to agree with them.

To reproduce the deadlock on solaris you can use the attached scripts: agent.sh, corba.sh.
