      Description

While there is a wide variety of tools and data available for investigating memory usage in the Java heap, there are not so many options for analyzing memory allocations at the native level, for instance by the JRE's native libraries (libawt, libfontmanager, etc - the .dll's/.so's). It would be nice to have a facility in place in the JRE (perhaps only in the fastdebug/_g version) to provide details about where, how much, and by who of native memory allocations (i.e. malloc).
