      Description

Kernel JRE Completion Process is not always working in Vista .

      Tested build:promoted 6u5b03
      OS : Vista (Home,Home Premium)

      Steps:

      1.Install Kernel JRE.
2.After executing some tests the bundle downloading is complete.
3.client directory got created under jre/bin
4.jre/lib/bundles/tmp has the merged rt jar (46,753KB) and merged-resources file
5.Gave java -version to make the Completion happen ,but it is hanging.
6.the process list showed the java -version process running.
7.After killing the running processes, once again if java -version/some java process is invoked ,the JVM error dialog is displayed and on clicking ok ,completion process is happening properly.

I have noticed this during webstart automation in Vista also. After few tests the test is waiting for a long time and failing because of Timeout. At this time also, giving a 'java -version' is hanging.

During manual testing I noticed this issue 3-4 times.Attaching the screen shots.Whichever java process is running during that time ,it is hanging(attached vista_hang.jpg shows the
KernelJRETest waiting for completion and the process list shows only this java process)
      tested build :6u5b05
      OS : Vista
I use following steps to reproduce this:

Install Kernel JRE.(6u5b05 PIT with registry key KernelDownloadUrl)
launch some applications to make the download complete.(I usually launch control panel,a swingset apple, or the DownloadBundles.jnlp/applet from http://sqindia.india.sun.com/disk17/deployment/raghu/kernel/KJRE003/

When the "client directory" is created under the jre/bin directory, start typing java -version in a command prompt.Any java process running during that time will be hanging.

      Remote Desktop :

      Username:Administrator
      Password:abc123

During javaws automation also this is reprodicible.
