Can't paste the word from editor to [1] and [4] unsigned with Ctrl-v.

      Steps to reproduce:

      run the case javax/swing/clipboard/4856343/Test4856343.java

      1.Open IE7 browser and loaded the page: http://jpseuwt-ap/testcases/142/4856343/bug4856343.html

         Grant access on all the Java Plug-in Security warning windows, a page will be loaded with test instructions and 4 applets at the

         Bottom. Follow the instructions on the page:

       

      ****test for 4856343 Problem with applet interaction with system selection clipboard This test are to be ran on all platforms*****

       

      1 run some editor program (on windows you could start notepad)

      2 load this page in the browser with java plugin enabled

      3 you should see four applets in the page

      4 do the following for every applet

        1) paste tests

                   1 type 'test' in the editor and paste it to the system clipboard (on windows select text and press Ctrl-c) Select 'test' by mouse to put it in system selection

                  2 select JTextFiled in the testing applet

                         3[a] press 'a'. Is there word 'test' in the JTextField (yes/no)?

      Clean the JTextFiled

                         4[b] push 'paste' button. Is there word 'test' in the JTextField (yes/no)? Clean the JTextField

                         5[c] press Ctrl-v. Is there word 'test' in the JTextField (yes/no)?

      Clean the JTextField

                         6[d] click middle mouse button in JTextField. Is there word 'test'

      in the JTextField (yes/no)? Clean the JTextField

        2 )copy tests

                   1 clean the editor

                   2 type 'test' in JTextField

                         3 [a] (this test for linux and solaris only. On windows there is not system selection) select 'test' in JTextField by mouse. Click middle mouse button in editor.

      Is there word 'test' in the editor (yes/no) ? Clean the editor

                         4 [b] select 'test' in JTextField and press Ctrl-c. Go to the editor and paste from the system clipboard. Is there word 'test' in the editor (yes/no) ? Clean the editor

      Expected results:

               paste tests

                         [a] (yes) for applet ([2] and [3] signed)

                         (no) for all other applets

                         [b] (yes) for applet ([2] and [3] signed)

                         (no) for all other applets

                         [c] (yes) for all applets

                         [d] (yes) for all applets

               copy tests

                         [a] (yes) for all applets

                         [b] (yes) for all applets

       

      Notes :

      button 'paste' and keystroke 'a' are binded to paste action They should work only in 'trusted context' case. Ctrl-v,Ctrl-c, etc. and mouse should work in all cases. In these test cases only 'signed' case is 'trusted context'.

       

      Check:

      If it works fine as mentioned - test PASSED otherwise test FAILED

       

      Actual behavior:

      Can’t paste the word from editor to [1] and [4] unsigned with Ctrl-v. It can work with ([2] and [3] signed).

       

      Validation:

      1. same platform/jdk1.4.2_30b01-j4b: same issue

      2. same build/oel5.5-x64: same issue

      3. same build/solaris10-x86:same issue
