      Description

      A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
      ===============================
      A customer has asked if we could correct this white paper http://java.sun.com/performance/reference/whitepapers/tuning.html to avoid others falling into the same trap as themselves.

      The issue is the maximum value for MaxTenuringThreshold which would seem to be 15 although 31 is used throughout this paper. There does seem to be a note "Note: when used with -XX:+UseBiasedLocking, this setting should be 15" which isn't very clear what it means and discussion on the forum indicates that the maximum value is always 15 since Java 1.5.0_06.
