We don't support switching scenes, when a window is in full-screen mode. The reason is that at the Glass level, full-screen functionality is implemented in View, not in Window, which is done to support full-screen applets. When a View is changed for a full-screen Window, we get a bunch of strange issues, e.g. crashes (
RT-21465) or rendering artifacts ( RT-28490). Workaround for Lombard is to exit full-screen mode, when a scene is changed, but it would be fine to support this functionality in Van Ness.
