      Description

There are two different approaches to handle column and row freezing: either craft special code in the TableView skin, or create support in JavaFX for a means to create a view onto a scene, and use this in conjunction with a SplitPane.

I think this is a critical feature for any high performance/high flexibility data grid. Often customers ask to see grid data in something that "looks like Excel", having a feature to lock columns and rows is very important. The Adobe Flex AdvancedDataGrid has a simple API to do this on the grid object itself. They simply have a lockedColumnCount:int and lockedRowCount:int properties to control this. This simply prevents those first columns/rows from participating in scrolling.
Would be great to see this feature soon.
