Win: UNDECORATED stages should provide same docking capabilities in Windows

    Details

    • Type: Enhancement
    • Status: Open
    • Priority: P4
    • Resolution: Unresolved
    • Affects Version/s: fx2.0
    • Fix Version/s: tbd
    • Component/s: javafx
    • Environment:

      Windows 7

      Description

Under Windows 7, if you drag a classic Stage near the edge of the desktop Windows proposes to "dock" it or to maximize it if the mouse pointer is at the top of the screen.
If you repeat the same workflow with an UNDECORATED stage, this feature is no longer provided. This is the same behavior as in the swing world.

Others undecorated clients (iTunes, GitHub...) are compliant with this policy. For a good (and better than Swing) integration into Windows 7, it would be great if JavaFX could add such a functionnality because undecorated windows are much, much appealing than native's ones (IMHO).
      Thanks.
