Java sound support of 192KHz audio via USB creating unusual sounds

    Details

      Description

      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
      1.8.0_152-b16

      ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
      Linux raspberrypi 4.9.59-v7+ #1047

      EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
USB2 Audio complant DAC using XMOS async XU208 chipset and driver

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Using Room EQ Wizard on the RPi3 when using the Java driver for 192KHz sample rate support, the DAC outputs strange sounds compared to using the 96KHz sample rate setting. Should be basically pink noise with the test and it is garbled at 192KHz. This is REW version 5.19 Beta 8.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Install Rasbian on RPi3, Java 8u152 and REW 5.19 beta 8 and try doing the DAC check from the Preferences page with 192KHz Java driver selected.

      EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
      EXPECTED -
Doing the above should give a pink noise style test signal without any artifacts like clicking..
      ACTUAL -
Get artifacts like clicking and unusual tonal qualities.

      REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
