      Description

      /w/k/jdk 1002>> ./build/linux-x86_64-normal-server-release/images/jdk/bin/jshell
      | Welcome to JShell -- Version 11-internal
      | For an introduction type: /help intro

      jshell> /exit
      | Goodbye
      /w/k/jdk 1003>>
      [NO TERMINAL ECHO]

      ------------

Platform Fedora 27 (4.15.14 and 4.15.16). Same behavior Konsole and Xterm apps.

Seen in most recent JDK 11 repo only. A slightly older repo version (on the same machine) does not have this behavior. When upgraded (pull and build), it does have this behavior. Same behavior on two different machines, a desktop and a MacBook Pro both running Fedora.

This makes JShell too annoying to use, whence the P2.
