      Description

To ensure safety w.r.t. scope closure when calling downcall method handles, it is necessary to acquire by-reference parameters. When multiple by-reference parameters are used, if they all share the same scope, only one acquire operation is necessary. The current implementation adopts a naive approach where each argument is acquired an released independently, so, even when working with multiple parameters backed by same scope, the cost of acquire/release will increase linearly with the number of parameters passed by reference.
